vs.
JOHN ISAACS


The Grand Jurors, chosen, selected and sworn, in and for the County of Saline in the name and by the authority of the People of the State of Illinois, upon their oaths present; That John Isaacs late of said County, on the tenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy four at and within the said County of Saline with force and arms in and upon the person of one WILLIAM ROBINSON, in the peace of God and the said People then and there being feloniously and wilfully, did then and there make an assault, and the said John Isaacs with a certain stick of wood which he the said John Isaacs in both his hands then and there had and held the said William ROBINSON and upon the head of him did strike and penetrate giving to him the said William Robinson then and there with the stick of wood aforesaid in and upon the head of him the said William Robinson one mortal wound of which mortal wound the said William Robinson from the said tenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy four until the eleventh day of April in the year aforesaid at the county and state aforesaid did languish and languishing did live, in which said eleventh day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy four the said William Robinson at the county and State aforesaid died and so the jurors aforesaid upon their oaths aforesaid do say that the said John Isaacs him the said William Robinson in a manner and form aforesaid feloniously and wilfully did kill and slay, contrary to the form of the statute in such case made and provided, and against the peace and dignity of the said People of the State of Illiois.---James M.
