This small booklet of murder indictments from Saline County, Illinois, is located in the archives of the circuit clerk's office in Harrisburg.  They were compiled in 1998 & 1999.
    The index contains only the name of the victims and their accused killers.  The names of the deceased are noted with an asterisk.  Names of the members of each Grand Jury are not indexed.
    This is a short report on the murders committed in Saline County between the years of 1874 - 1915 as listed in the Criminal Record ledgers.  There were probably many more for which there were no charges filed or indictments returned.
