I am researching an Elizabeth McCluskey Sutton, who was married to John Henry Chaplain in Franklin Co. on 1/11/1853, born in IL 11/15/1820. I have no information on her except those dates, but in looking through the 1850 Hamilton Co. census because of it's proximity to Franklin Co., I found 3 Choiper families (Joseph, John and George) that inncluded McCluskey and Sutton children. I found the coincidence of the names quite interesting, and wonder if there might be more info available on these surnames in your county? I don't have access to any other IL records prior to 1850. I'd really appreciate anything you find!! Thanks!
