Surnames: HORNE DAILEY JOHNSON
Submitter: Phyllis Winthurst (PWinthurst@aol.com)
Date: 31 May 2003

George and Catharine (DAILEY) JOHNSON HORNE lived in Eldorado, Saline County, Illinois in 1910. Were with the mining community. John JOHNSON, a coal miner, died prior to 1900 as Catharine (DAILEY) JOHNSON married again in April 1899 to George HORNE, another coal miner, in Vermilion County, Illinois. George HORNE, his wife Catharine (nee DAILEY) and three of her children by her first marriage were living in Eldorado, Saline County, in 1910. Mary Catharine (Dailey) and her first husband, John JOHNSON, had twelve children with only six of them still living at the time of the 1900 census. Have been able to identify only 5 of the 12 children - Peter, Margaret, Lucy, Frank, and May. May, 21, was living with her mother and step-father in 1910 in Saline County. She was a student nurse at a public hospital. Frank and his wife, Ruth E., were also living in the household. Does anyone recognize these people?
